HISTORY OF PANJ PEYARE

Vaisakhi

Vaisakhi Vaisakhi (also spelled Baisakhi) is the festival which celebrates the founding of the Sikh community known as the Khalsa. It is celebrated on April 14 each year. On Vaisakhi day in 1699, Guru Gobind Singh summoned Sikhs from all over India to the city of Anandpur Sahib. At this gathering, the Guru called upon Sikhs to uphold their faith and preserve the Sikh religion. Guru Gobind Singh then lifted his sword and asked that anyone prepared to give his life for his faith to come forward. There was a big silence, but the Guru went on repeating his demand. One Sikh finally came forward and followed the Guru into a tent. Shortly after, the Guru reappeared alone with his sword covered in blood, and asked for a second volunteer. Another Sikh stepped forward and again the Guru took him into the tent, and re-appeared alone with his sword covered with blood. This was repeated until five Sikhs had offered their heads for the Guru. Finally, the Guru emerged from the tent with all five men dressed piously in blue. Guru Gobind Singh called the five Sikhs the Panj Pyare, the Five Beloved Ones.
Vaisakhi The Panj Pyare were then baptized in a unique ceremony called pahul. Guru Gobind Singh prepared amrit (holy water) in a bowl using a short steel sword. Then the Guru's wife, Mata Sundri, added patashas (sugar crystals) into the amrit. After completing prayers, Guru Gobind Singh sprinkled the amrit on each of the Panj Pyare. The Guru then knelt before the five and asked them to baptize him as well. The Guru proclaimed that the Panj Pyare would be the embodiment of the Guru himself: "Where there are Panj Pyare, there am I. When the Five meet, they are the holiest of the holy."
The Panj Pyare were the first members of the new Sikh community called the Khalsa. Guru Gobind Singh gave the Khalsa a unique identity with five distinctive symbols of purity and courage, known today as the Five K's. The Guru gave all Khalsa men the surname of Singh (lion) as a reminder to be courageous. Women took on the surname Kaur (princess) to emphasize dignity. With the distinct Khalsa identity, Guru Gobind Singh gave all Sikhs the opportunity to live lives of courage, sacrifice, and equality. These Sikhs were to dedicate their lives to the service of others and the pursuit of justice.

HISTORY OF GURU GOBIND SAHIB JI IN HEMKUNT SAHIB

HISTORY OF GURUDWARA HEMKUNT SAHIB JI

Blessed disciple of Guru ji, SHRI GURU GOBIND SINGH JI tells us in his autobiography “BACHITAR NATAK” that Shri Hemkunt Sahib is a holy place where SHRI GURU GOBIND SINGH JI had worshipped Almighty God as a DUSHAT DAMAN in his previous birth.
AB MAIN APNI KATHA BAKHANO, TAP SADHAT JIH BID MOHE AANO ||
HEMKUNT PARBAT HAI JAHA, SAPT SRING SOBHIT HAI TAHA ||

TEH HUM ADIK TAPASAYA SADHI, MAHA KAAL KALIKA ARADHI ||
DESCRIPTION: The Guru Ji tells us about his previous incarnation that Hemkunt Sahib is a place in the Himalaya range, where there is glorifying ice covered Sapt Sring Mountain, on that hill he meditated the name of God.
IH BID KARAT TAPPSAYA BHAYO, DAVAI TE EK ROOP HO GAYO||
DESCRITOIN: He states that before he came into this world, as a free spirit he was engaged in the meditation in the seven peaks of Hemkunt Sahib Mountain. In his meditation he became one with God.
TAAT MAAT MUR ALAKH ARAADHA, BAHU BEED JOG SADHNA SADHA||
DESCRITPTION: My father SHRI TEG BAHDUR JI and MATA GUJRI JI meditated and devoted service in the love of God on the native land.
TIN JO KAREE ALAKH KEE SEWA, TAA TAY BHAAY PRASANNI GURDEVA||

DESCRIPTION: Almighty God pleased with their worship and asked them to make a wish. Then my parents said to be blessed with a son. Bust he should be the one who was their son in their previous birth. Then Almighty God commanded me to take human form in this world. I didn’t like to come. God sent me into the world with a mandate saying: “I cherish thee as my son and send thee to establish the path of truth. Go into the world and establish virtue and keep the people away from evil.”
MAI APNA SUT TOHE NIWAJA, PANTH PRACHAR KEHBEE KAO MAJA||

Thus with the command of Akaal Purakh Guru Ji had taken birth to spread spirit of both sainthood and soldier.

The Guru was so much engrossed in the Name of God, that he did not want to take re-birth. But some how the Almighty, persuaded him and he was born at Patna Sahib. His mother was Mata Gujri and his father was ninth Guru Tegh Bahadar Sahib.

MY VIEW

Great work are performed not by strength but by perseverance.
Respect the old when you are young . Help the weak when you are storng. Confess the fault when you are wrong.Because one day in life you will be also old, weak and wrong.

There is no greater wealth in this world than peace of mind but that you can get by the grace of god.

The fragrance of flowers spreads only in the direction of the wind. But the goodness of a person spreads in all direction."

"Learn from the mistakes of others... you can't live long enough to
make them all yourselves!!"

The most imported truth of life is that only those with the right attitude & thinking way can succeed in their task. The successful people always thing positively & meet their set goal & targets with the help of the energy & enthusiasm with which is generated in the mind &body due to positive thinking.

Good things are always not come from good thinking. Every man on the earth should committed mistakes in his life some times those mistakes are also make good things. Let take us an example in our childhood we do not know what is fire and what will it cause. When we touch the fire we feel pain means we know that when we touch the fire it will painful to us.

The past is to prove that no one is perfect and the future is to prove that everyone can change..!

"I have always found that mercy bears richer fruits than strict justice."

 "Before you start some work,
always ask yourself three questions - Why am I doing it,
What the results might be and Will I be successful.
Only when you think deeply and find satisfactory answers to these questions, go ahead."

If you have the ability to complain about something, you also have the ability to take the positive action that will make it better. And taking positive action is infinitely more effective than merely complaining.

"Learn from the mistakes of others... you can't live long enough to make them all yourselves!!"

Don't let the pain/troubles of the past steal/prevent your blessings of the present and future.

LIFE IS GIFT FROM GOD LIVE EACH DAY WITH PEACE AND LOVE, NO MATTER WHAT STORM TRAVELS THROUGH.

LIFE IS ONE WAY ROAD, YOU CAN SEE BACK BUT YOU CAN NOT GO BACK , SO DO NOT MISS ANY THING, ENJOY EACH AND EVERY MOVEMENT OF LIFE-------------------.

GOOD FRIENDS ARE LIKE STAR------------------YOU DON'T SEE THEM , BUT YOU KNOW THEY ARE ALWAYS THERE.
